This centuries-old festival attracts lakhs of devotees from across India who gather to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva.

The multi-day celebrations begin with sacred Vedic rituals and continue with special Abhishekams, Vahana Sevas, cultural performances, devotional music, and spiritual discourses. The festival reaches its peak with the magnificent Rathotsavam (Temple Chariot Procession) and the beautifully illuminated Teppotsavam (Float Festival) on the temple’s sacred Pushkarini, creating an unforgettable spiritual experience. Maha Sivaratri Brahmotsavalu reflects the rich cultural heritage, ancient temple traditions, and deep spiritual values that make Mahanandi one of the most revered pilgrimage destinations in Andhra Pradesh.
