A Panchayat Secretary in Nandyal district has been placed under suspension after allegedly reporting to duty under the influence of alcohol. The incident came to light following complaints from local residents regarding inappropriate behaviour and negligence in performing official responsibilities.
Upon receiving the information, higher authorities initiated an inquiry into the matter. Preliminary findings reportedly confirmed the allegations, leading the concerned department to take immediate disciplinary action against the employee. Officials stated that strict measures would be taken against government staff found violating service rules and professional ethics.
