  • Kisan Mela (Farmers’ Fair)

    Nandyal District hosts a variety of agriculture-focused events that promote modern farming techniques, sustainable agricultural practices, and knowledge sharing among farmers. These events are organized by the Department of Agriculture, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), and agricultural research institutions, providing farmers with access to the latest technologies, improved crop varieties, and government welfare schemes. The Kisan Mela is one of the district's largest agricultural outreach programmes, bringing together thousands of farmers, agricultural scientists, extension officers, input suppliers, and agri-entrepreneurs.

  • Millet Promotion & Awareness Programme

    As part of promoting sustainable agriculture and nutritional security, millet awareness programmes encourage farmers to cultivate climate-resilient crops such as foxtail millet, pearl millet, finger millet, and sorghum. Experts provide technical guidance, seed distribution, cultivation methods, and market linkage support. The programme highlights the nutritional and economic benefits of millet cultivation while promoting eco-friendly farming practices. A special Capacity building Program Millet Scientists -Scheduled Caste Farmers Interface Meeting & Input Distribution Program was successfully organized today at Banavasi, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.
